Privacy Policy
Mbox Viewer and Takeout Reports (“the Apps”) are developed by Color Vivo Internet, S.L. This policy explains how we handle your data in both apps and on this website.
Local processing
Mbox Viewer processes all email files entirely on your machine. No content, metadata or attachments are transmitted to any server. Your files never leave your computer. Takeout Reports works the same way with your Google Takeout archive: it reads each file inside the ZIP, without extracting it, and it has no network access permission at all, on either platform.
Index files
The App creates small binary index files next to your MBOX files for fast access. They are stored locally and never transmitted anywhere.
Purchases
Upgrading to Pro is an in-app purchase through the Mac App Store (or the Microsoft Store on Windows). Apple or Microsoft handles payment; we never receive or store your payment details. We run no license-validation server. Takeout Reports is free and has no in-app purchases.
Analytics and tracking
Neither Mbox Viewer nor Takeout Reports includes analytics, telemetry or tracking. We collect no usage data or crash reports.
Contact form
If you write to us from the support page or from the Mbox Viewer Pro for Education page, we receive what you fill in — your name, email and message, plus your organization's name, its Organization ID and the estimated seats in the case of Education — to reply and handle your request. The email also carries technical details of the connection it was sent from: IP address, browser, language, approximate city-level location, network provider and the page you wrote from. We use them to reply with context and to tell a real message from an automated one. Delivery goes through Cloudflare. None of this is used for marketing, shared with third parties or turned into a profile: it travels in that email and stays there. The support form also sends which product you're writing about, so your message reaches the right place.
Website & cookies
This website uses Google Analytics 4 to measure traffic. By default it runs in cookieless mode (Google Consent Mode): analytics cookies are only set if you accept them in the cookie banner, and you can reject them — the site works the same. Your theme (light/dark) preference is also stored locally in your browser.
